THE 20th CREEK RELAY
The relay proposed for Friday 20th February, 2015 has been cancelled
Once again it is not possible to run a route around the Creek due to many changes particularly where the Canal is being extended.

No event was held in 2014 due to problems with the route.

Registration: Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club - Boardwalk Carpark
The Creek Hash House Harriers are once again conducting their annual “Creek on the Creek” Relay Race. The route will be the same as that of last year. This event will continue to include the area adjacent to the Flamingo Sanctuary and the route past Jadaf Shipyard, but will also include all 5 Creek crossings. i.e. Shindaga Tunnel and the Maktoum, Floating, Garhoud and Business Bay bridges.
The race registration, briefing and finish will be at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club - Boardwalk Carpark at 0700hrs.
The race is open to all, including Hash Clubs, Running and Sports Groups as well as individuals, but will be limited to a maximum of 50 teams of four plus a limited number of soloists.
There are a total of 8 stages with each team member to run 2 stages. A team vehicle will be required to ferry team members between stages. Stage lengths vary from approximately 3.4 to 5.8kms.
Teams wishing to be considered for the prize must have at least one lady member or a male runner over 50 years of age although there will be some fun categories depending on the number of entries. There is also a category for Hash teams.
There will be prizes for the teams finishing nearest to their predicted time in each category as well as the fastest team and soloist.
We will attempt to marshal runners through the tricky parts of the route, however copies of the route map will be distributed at the briefings held at the Registration/Finish area.
Teams are required to register in advance. Team registration must be submitted “on-line” via the Premier Marathons web site (Follow the Registration link above) before the Wednesday prior to the event. Costs are Dhs.480/- per team or Dhs.120 per solo runner and will include a vest for each runner.
Brunch (English Breakfast) will also be provided for all runners as part of the entrance fee. Additional brunch tickets can be purchased at the time of registration. The venue will be QDs.
Allocations will be made on a first come first served basis.
Race day registration (collection of running vests and route maps) will take place between 0700 – 0730 hrs, followed by the run briefing.
To try and get teams finishing close together, start times will be staggered.
Teams predicting 3:40 hrs. or more to start at 0800 hrs.
Teams predicting less than 3:40 hrs. start delayed by the number of minutes under this value.
Starting times will be strictly followed.
