6.0Km Law Courts to Shindaga Tunnel
Under the bridge, left along compound wall then right along front of the compound, to the small roundabout. Turn left and follow the wall, which will eventually bring you back to the Creek side, on the road past the British Embassy. Stay on the Creek side now as far as possible all the way past the Rules Office building to the old (now done up!) souk. (Do not follow the road away from the creek into town, as we used to do). Turn left into the Souk entrance, it is not obvious but we will hopefully have a Marshall here to help. After 10 meters or so turn right and continue through the Souk, past the Abra Station, and out at the far end. Access is limited through the Souk. It is not usually too busy on a Friday morning, but please don’t knock anyone over. At the exit from the Souk, bear right again to the Creek side and follow the Creek right round past the Heritage Village to the sea and change over at the pedestrian tunnel just before the Port entrance. Vehicles have to take a completely separate route through town. Head for the Shindaga road tunnel, but keep to the right hand lane when the centre and left lanes dip down into the tunnel.
