Stage 4  --  4.4 KLM  Shindaga Tunnel to Sheraton Hotel

Pass through the Shindaga tunnel and out onto the Corniche. Turn towards the City (ie away from the sea) on the Creek side along the Corniche past the Dhows and Abra stations, past the Sheraton Hotel and on to the next changeover located in a small car park on the east side of the National Bank Of Dubai building. As you exit the tunnel DO NOT GO towards the Hyatt Hotel as in previous years.  

Driver’s Note:

As the vehicle route involves a detour to get into and out of the road tunnel, vehicles with the faster teams will really have to move quickly to make it before the runners.

Vehicles will have to head back towards Bur Dubai and get onto Shindaga tunnel road at the main traffic lights.  Go under the tunnel and turn right at the first filter lane as you exit the tunnel. Follow the road past the Gold Souk and head towards the Creek. Go round the roundabout and follow the road that runs parallel to the Creek. Carry on past the Dhows and through several sets of traffic lights towards the Sheraton Hotel. Go past the Hotel and turn right at the next junction (traffic lights?) and into the car park.
