There were only 6 Hashers who decided that the old military live firing range was better than a dirty night around the traps of Dubai.

The site was littered with shrapnel and other bits of exploded military hardware.

As Digit, Sex Object, Muntacunt, Largemember, Everready (accompanied by Miss Moneypenny) and Pisto sat around discussing whether to go on the run there was an ear splitting explosion that made us all dive for cover and wonder if we were in the middle of a new civil war.

Munta's run would have been well set if only he could find the trail. We reached CP1 somehow without running on any marks. It was then that we realised the silly prick had used Douchebag markings for the CPs and had marked the trail using plastic forks.

After a good long run and 4 checks it was time for a few relaxing beers before the circle.

Munta was suitably punished for the markings, along with Digit and Everready who just shortcut.

Given that there were only 6 of us plus 1 dog (not a Harriette) the run and the circle were surprisingly good.

We were then visited by Dubai's finest (well 1 in a 4 wheel drive) looking for the source of the explosion. He proceeded to drive around in circles, but eventually he got lost.

DIRECTIONS

Run Will commence at 1800hrs exactly or thereabouts

1. From the Dubailand roundabout on Emirates Road, head south on Al Qudra Road, which ends in a T junction after 26 km.

2. Turn left and drive 1.6 km where you will see a tall communications tower on the left.

3. Turn right onto a newly paved road.

4. Drive to the end of the pavement exactly 12 km and follow the marks for another 2 km on dirt to the campout area.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. The Creek will supply beer as usual. Run fee Dhs 50 as usual. This will cover extra beer plus wine for the ladies plus the charcoal.

2. Bring your own food. The Creek BBQ will be there and I will bring enough charcoal for the cooking.

3. Bring some firewood.

4. Show up at around 1600 to pitch your tents. Run at 1800.
